The Cuba Committee of QCWBA is pleased to roll out the confirmed Cuba Trip to take place from May 10-17, 2016.  Please see details below: costs are broken into 4-parts, airfare, visa, hotel and miscellaneous (such as group check-in and luggage handling fee).  As of right now, the total costs of the trip is expected to be between $3,000-3,300.00 per person; price per person will vary based on the number of travelers and air flight costs in May.

Below are links to the application and itinerary for the tour-guided trip and you will need to pay the initial deposit of $300.00 per person with the application to reserve a spot with the travel agency. All payments should be made directly to the travel agency.  QCWBA members will be given first-preference.  Maximum number of travelers is restricted to 30 people.

If you are interested in this trip, please confirm via email at info@qcwba.org and by completing an application found below and putting down the deposit with the travel agency.  Reservation will be considered once each person has paid $300.00 with the application, and final confirmation will be when the full price of the trip is paid to the travel agency.

QCWBA’S CUBA TRIP – MAY 10-17, 2016:

COSTS are divided into four parts: AIR, VISA, LAND ARRANGEMENTS and EXTRA COSTS       

AIRFARE

Costs have not yet been announced for the charter flights between JFK and Cuba past January of 2016. We will let you know the moment the costs are announced. I have attached the current flight schedule.
Our best estimate based on current conditions:
$849-949 (estimated and subject to change) JFK to Havana RT
Airfare includes U.S. Departure Taxes and Cuban Medical Insurance
FARES DEFINITELY SUBJECT TO CHANGE

VISA
$75 per person for all participants who were not born in Cuba
(for participants born in Cuba, contact us for details)
This cost is subject to change if the current method of obtaining visas from the Cuban Embassy in Washington DC changes.

LAND ARRANGEMENTS
Here are the estimated land costs per person based on the draft program attached (with one free leader included):

These costs include:

Hotel accommodations as above for 8 days and 7 nights
Group transfers in and out
Transportation for the program
Bilingual Cuban guide services for the program
Program as attached

These costs do not include tips (guide, driver, all other tips) or meals and visits not included in the program.

Timeline

90 Days prior to departure:
–          Must cancel group if not going or reduce group if significantly smaller.
–          Send preliminary rooming list
We must receive deposits of $300 per person via bank transfer

60 Days prior to departure:
–          Updated name list of participants/rooming list
45 Days prior to departure:
–          Marazul will send an invoice for the final payment

35 days Prior to departure:
–          Completed Marazul Application form for each participant
o   Based on the information in these forms, Marazul will facilitate the issuance of each participant’s visa.
–          Final payment is due based on the Invoice

Three weeks prior to departure:
–          Upon receipt of full payment for all participants, Marazul will FedEx each participant’s Travel Packet to your office. These will include:
o   Roundtrip air tickets
o   Cuban Visas
o   Reservation forms, Travel Advice, Information about the health insurance
o   If additional FedEx deliveries are needed, there will be an additional charge of $25 per FedEx
